Sports Massage

My sports massage includes:

Soft Tissue Release: A stretching treatment, which helps to localize the tight part of the muscle and stretches the muscle fibers that need lengthening most.

Muscle Energy Techniques (PIR and RI): All MET techniques are based on the principals of Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR) and Reciprocal Inhibition (RI). These are two different phenomena that occur naturally through the neuromuscular system and induce a temporary state of deeper relaxation in the muscle. In this relaxed state the restricted muscle can be more easily and safely manipulated and stretched.

Positional Release Techniques:  Manual treatments for muscle pain and spasms, which involve resetting muscle tone and enhancing circulation.

Connective Tissue Techniques: CT techniques are based on understanding fascia (from Latin: a band), which is a three-dimensional layer (web) of fibrous tissue that permeates the human body. It interpenetrates and surrounds muscles, bones, organs, nerves, blood vessels and other structures; it extends from head to toe, from front to back and from interior to exterior. CT techniques allow to move fascia, and influence the muscles and inner organs accordingly.

All of these techniques are very advanced and highly effective, and they are often used on professional athletes.
